An incredibly rare book about the development of the Land Rover with lovely drawings throughout.  Aimed primarily at children, there are very few survivors these days possibly because many would have ended up in school libraries.  At the time of listing, there are no other examples offered for sale, this is only the second copy I’ve ever seen.

Written by Charles King, better known as Spen King, ‘The Father of the Range Rover’.

19cm x 25cm, 44 pages, hardbound with dust jacket.  The contents are in very good condition with nice bright pages and no inscriptions.  The dust jacket is generally worn, has some closed tears at the edges and a piece missing to the left edge as shown, the red board underneath is slightly damaged.  It is priced accordingly, I sold a perfect example for £150.
